Cat is back
Sep 28th, 2009 by Xarah

katze3 My mom called yesterday, Sunday, and asked if she could bring the cat back to me.

Reason: she woke them up both days at 5 am and would not stop yowling until 9, then she would go into the wardrobe and sleep.

I was surprise because she hasn’t shown any of this behavior before. I can only think that she was making sure they would return her to me :-)

I think she was happy to be home even though she still hissed at Noel. Oh, well. She ate, and then spent her time on my lap on the sofa. I think she became even more affectionate.

I didn’t get any more phone calls. I really wish they would call even if they don’t want her anymore, at least we would know her name.

Cellar Cat

katz2I got a bunch of phone calls up until today for missing cats. None of them fit the discription of my new cat. Someone suggested to go to the pet doctor to see if she has a chip implanted. That way we should find out fast who her owner is.

So I put her into the transportation cage - I think she’s she - and onto some wheels and walked through the town to go to the pet doctor. They seemed to have moved I could not find them there. But we were close to the police station and I thought maybe I should tell them, too. Because I think if and older woman or man loses their cat, they might go to the police.

Other then the flyers I have put an ad online onto a specialized website for found and lost pets.

I found the new location of the pet doctor and she confirmed it’s a female cat but un-chiped. Someone must surely miss this cute cat even if she’s a bit older than a kitty.

She sleeps in our bed and comes to me and lays on my feet when I’m on the toilet. And she started to eat a bit more. But still hisses and growls in a guttaral fashion. I keep telling her if we cannot find her human she’ll have to get used to Noel.

What to name her? So far she has a different name every day.

My mom just picked her up because I won’t be around all weekend and I don’t want those two all alone that long. A neighbor is coming in a couple of times per day to feed Noel, so that’s not a problem. Maybe my mom wants to keep her? That would be a great solution. There she’d be an only cat again. Now, I have to go pack my bag for tomorrow.

Found a Cat in the Cellar
Sep 22nd, 2009 by Xarah

katzeToday, a neighbor rang at my door and told me saw a shy cat down in the cellar. I live in a house with 12 parties.

I armed myself with a can of cat food, a fork, a couple of bags to collect “waste” and some kind of “deodorant” which would eliminate any odor.

I didn’t find any. Wonder how long she had been down there?

I didn’t think she was shy at all. She was on the stairs and when I opened the can she came up as quickly as she could. I could tell she was either injured or old.

She ate a little bit and then I tried to let her out so she could find her way home. I thought she would run out of thte trap but she didn’t. She just stuck her head out and came back in.

Then I thought it would be a good idea to get the camera to take a photo, make some flyers and post them everywhere. So I ran back upstairs (5th floor) and took one photo. The one you see above, then my accu died and the camera shut down.

I went to tell the owners of the house and the neighbor who had stuck his head down that I will feed her in the cellar until I found her human. Then I thought that this might not be a good idea and I lured her upstairs. Asked the neighbor if he could take her in for a few days but he already has a cat and said, he (the cat) doesn’t like visitors.

But he gave me transportation cage and I carried her upstairs. My other cat didn’t mind much but the new cat was pretty surprised to see this black cat. I hope they get along until I find the owner.

I created the flyers and left the house and posted them all around my house and across the street and on the other side. Now, I’m home, waiting for phone calls and watching these two.
