Magic Money Tricks
May 9th, 2016 by Xarah

money-magic-hatNO CAMERA TRICKS. (I know there will always be hecklers claiming it to be fake.) If you know magic, you know these are actual tricks that can be performed. When I [Pinokiyo] made this video, I was very new to magic; only about 4 months in, so I may be rusty (well, I still am).

Magic became an addiction to me, so I tried to learn as much as I could in a short amount of time. I like doing money tricks the most but I can do other tricks as well (although not very good).

I hope you enjoy it!

I thought this was a fun video. Of course these are tricks.

Want to know how you can turn 215 Euros into hundreds… a day…?

How To Move iPhone Video Files To Your Mac

How To Move iPhone Video Files To Your Mac

in order to edit them, or to save them on an extral drive.

This is how my business partner Mike Hobbs does it:

Are you having difficulties getting the video files off of your iPhone and onto your MAC computer to edit in ScreenFlow?  This tutorial will help!

  1. Connect the iPhone to the computer through the USB Cable (the one you use to load the batteries).
  2. Go to the finder area.  Click on Applications and select “Image Capture.” (Though not everybody has this app. I for instance don’t have it)
  3. Choose your iPhone and select the video file to import.
  4. Open ScreenFlow and insert the file you just imported.

ScreenFlow is powerful, easy-to-use screencasting software for the Mac. With ScreenFlow you can record the contents of your entire monitor while also capturing your video camera, microphone and your computer audio. The easy-to-use editing interface lets you creatively edit your video, and add additional images, text, music and transitions for a truly professional-looking video.

Maybe “Image Captures comes with ScreenFlow. I don’t know because I don’t have ScreenFlow – yet.

I use iMovie and Screen-o-Matic for screen-capture videos. But since that is not the topic of this blog post… 🙂

Another Way to Move Your iPhone Files to Your Mac

When I plug my iPhone to my Mac, iPhoto automatically opens. It could be that when I did that the first time I was asked if I always wanted this action to happen.

Now I select the file or the files and click on import. I usually click on delete pictures which makes them delete on my iPhone.

Under “last import” I can see what I just imported to my Mac. I select them and move them (drag and drop) to a folder. That one was a toughie for the longest time. I couldn’t figure out where my imported pictures and videos were at this point. Until one day I just tried to drag and drop.

AND IT WORKED!!!! 🙂

Next of course import to iMovie and edit the movie there, add images, music, background sounds. Or just use as is.

Little iPhone Tricks

The little trick Mike shows with the buttons is pretty clever, makes it easier to either shoot a picture or a video.

Hope this blog post was helpful. Let me know in the comments.

PS: While writing this blog post I was scrolling through my content on my iPhone and found tons of pictures and videos. From my garden, from our national day, from my niece’s wedding… eventually I’m going to have to download them LOL

Why A Job Will Not Create Lifestyle Freedom

Why A Job Will Not Create Lifestyle Freedom

A job does not create lifestyle freedom because you exchange time for money. Everybody, employed or self employed or have a brick and mortar business, they all need a passive/residual income.

This is a video of the “Create Lifestyle Freedom” series.

Frozen
Feb 12th, 2014 by Xarah

Last Friday me and 3 Fearless women over 50 went to the movies. In the afternoon 🙂

We went to see FROZEN.

I can totally recommend it to young and old.

Just the 4 of us where in the movie theater and kind of had a private show. That’s what you get
when you can go to the movies in the afternoon when everybody else is at the office :-))

In the break we chatted about how special Disney movies are. And that’s where the picture above was shot.

Frozen only for kids?

Even if it’s a kid’s movie still grown-ups can get something out of it.

Yes, it could just be entertainment, just a diversion for a couple of hours from sorrows. Or You can really get
something out of it.

For instance, my Facebook friend Katherine Fugate (a writer for the Xena TV show) posted this on her wall:

Is it Disney Blasphemy to see Elsa’s storyline from Frozen as a coming out storyline? Something she is born with,
has to keep hidden, until finally, in adulthood, she let’s it go – breaks free and is proud of who she is?

We found the song “let it go” powerful too. On the way back into the city one of the women said something about fear.
And I told her to let it go, to let her fear go because it freezes your heart. Let it go and let love heal everything
(or something in this sense).

Here are the lyrics to “Let It Go”

The snow glows white on the mountain tonight,
not a footprint to be seen.
A kingdom of isolation and it looks like I’m the queen.
The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside.
Couldn’t keep it in, Heaven knows I tried.
Don’t let them in, don’t let them see.
Be the good girl you always have to be.
Conceal, don’t feel, don’t let them know.
Well, now they know!
Let it go, let it go!
Can’t hold it back anymore.
Let it go, let it go!
Turn away and slam the door.
I don’t care what they’re going to say.
Let the storm rage on.
The cold never bothered me anyway.
It’s funny how some distance,
makes everything seem small.
And the fears that once controlled me,
can’t get to me at all
It’s time to see what I can do,
to test the limits and break through.
No right, no wrong, no rules for me.
I’m free!
Let it go, let it go.
I am one with the wind and sky.
Let it go, let it go.
You’ll never see me cry.
Here I stand, and here I’ll stay.
Let the storm rage on.
My power flurries through the air into the ground.
My soul is spiraling in frozen fractals all around
And one thought crystallizes like an icy blast
I’m never going back; the past is in the past!
Let it go, let it go.
And I’ll rise like the break of dawn.
Let it go, let it go
That perfect girl is gone
Here I stand, in the light of day.
Let the storm rage on!
The cold never bothered me anyway.

Yes, I think it could be a coming-out story/song.

The co-songwriter Kristen Anderson-Lopez said: “Who doesn’t have some kind of shame or secret that holds them back?”
Point is, just about anyone can relate in some way.

Our foursome of fearless women over 50 😉 decided every new member has to watch this movie because we started to
adapt some frozen language.

Oh, and Olaf! What a wonderful comic element. He’s just lovely!

Go watch it and if you can in 3D! I’ll certainly get the DVD when it’s available.

If you have seen it, would you like to share what you got out of the movie or how you liked it?

Let it go!

Your Comfort Zone, Is Your Failure Zone

Making videos scared me but now it gets easier though still not totally comfortable.
But it’s also kinda fun out there in the maze, you know?

Hope this analogy helps you figure it out and help you move out of your comfort zone because it’s your failure zone.

The Importance of the Right Mindset

Being part of a group of Lifestyle Freedom creator I create 1-2 new videos every week.

They are short and on topic. Here’s another one:

We can have a positive mindset for one thing and yet a negative for another thing.

It’s constant being aware of what kind of mindset we are in. I hope it’ll get easier with time 😉
