Allright, I’m on Instagram.

I’ve had the account for a little while but finally decided to learn more about it. I searched my computer via Spotlight (Mac-Users know what I mean and actually found an email from somebody with a familiar name from the company I’m with and decided to watch it. Though I had thought the Instagram training would be by her, it wasn’t but the lady who did it, share a whole lot of information and I took 7 pages of notes.

And I started to upload images. This is the first I’ve done with her tips. Got on and added their widget to this blog of mine. You can see the latest pics here on this page and also in the navigation bar on the left.

Now, I’m off to go through my notes and add Apps to my phone. I’ve been to Venice Italy, and also on a day trip more or less through the grape vines of Wallis. So I have lots of pics on my phone.

And I most probably will share more of what I discover.

Please herz heartand comment the photos and #follow me I will #followback

21 Day Blogging Challenge
Jan 2nd, 2015 by Xarah

21 Day Blogging Challenge

21-day-blogging-challengeWhen I first started with Empower Network soon they were talking about a 90 day blogging challenge. Without prizes and nobody „controlled“ whether you did it.

More over, nobody told us to share our blog posts. Back in those days I had not discovered the Facebook groups yet and I don’t think anybody else in the company/team did.

Eventually people did discover the Facebook groups. They even discovered that you can send a 3-line message via email to about 300 groups at once!

Then they shared this strategy and more people started doing it.

Eventually Facebook black listed and banned the Empower Network domain. Though I recently discovered the banning was lifted.

Now, there are syndication groups, more and more you have to comment on other people’s blogs in order to share your blog which I think is a really good idea. I did the same for my syndication group.

For one you get to see other peoples blogs (the layout and all) and for the other you see what kind of content they share, what kind of call to action they use.

Especially for a beginner that’s awesome, if you see something you like, you can use it (steal, model…). And it gives you ideas.

Comments are key nowadays for ranking on mighty Google. But they should be related to the blog post. All those spammy comments I get on my (your ordinary WordPress blog with a really old theme but I like it so I’m keeping it as long as it works) are no use. So I rather delete them. But at least it tells me that particular blog post got indexed on Google 🙂

21 Day Blogging Challenge

After about 2 years I think I had about 600 blog posts. But no comments. No wonder, eh?

I started last year in December to be more active in those syndication groups. Commenting on 3-5 blog posts and now also getting comments. Getting read, you know?

Now, this new 21 day blogging challenge that started on the 29th, or the 31st – depending whom you ask – is different. There is a group specifically for this (though it seems people are only posting the link and not commenting).

Apparently the new Kalatu blogging platform is counting the posts, too.

I’m still on the old „Blogbeast“ so there is no counting. Only I count 🙂

The question is, should I start a new blog for this, with a new topic? Or just pick one of the half dozen that I already have (on the same platform), or my Xarahsblog?

For now I’m posting winter pics on this blog here. But I also have a passion blog: Xena Warrior Princess (a TV show in the 90ties). Even though the show has been off the air (but for reruns) for over 15 years, the community is still going strong. And have annual events. Though the rumor has it, this year (February) is going to be the last one. But then, the organizers said the same 4-5 years ago.

Anyway, I have added some content to that blog but not regularly. I’ve decided to use my passion blog for the 21 day challenge and add every day something. Music videos. Pictures from my trip to New Xeland and visit of the set. I just have to go hunt those pics down. LOL

The trip happened in the last century, pre-digitized and pre-smartphone times. Hm, where did I put those pictures….

But I also want to add content to this here blog, maybe every other day.

Let’s see how that goes.

I’ve read an ebook about the amazing traffic vortex, I guess that’ll be the next post to write about. Interesting concept.

Thanks for reading and commenting 🙂

Cheers, Xarah

PS: If you don’t have an Empower blog yet, click here to get one, try it for $7 bucks now. Non-techy people love it. Even techy people like it. And the new blogging platform is probably going to blow me out of my warm cozy socks. The issue is not you already having a blog, the issue is, is it making you money yet?

What Is A Decision?
Oct 29th, 2014 by Xarah

Today I don’t want to sell you anything or promote anything, or even teach you anything.

Today just want to share something I posted on my Facebook wall. To show you I’m a real person 🙂

Meetups Are Cool

A few years ago when I felt I needed to meet new people – and hopefully finding chocolate addicts (back then I was selling healthy chocolate) – I discovered A website for people to meet offline, in the real world.

On this website you can find all kinds of meetups with all kinds of topics and interests.

Being generally a shy woman, it took quit some courage to go and talk to other people.

I ended up going to this one Meetup group almost every Tuesday morning.

A woman I had met there called me today, eventually she asked me, why am I going there every Tuesday.

The answer is easy. For one, it’s not a decision to go or not to go every Monday evening or Tuesday morning anymore. That decision happened a long time ago. Same with my workout.

What Is A Decision?

Was it last year, last summer? When again my back seized up on me while working in the garden? The other times when it happened I could walk it off, this time I couldn’t. At one point I was so exhausted I wanted to sit down. Even though somebody held on to me, half way down, I had to get up again because it hurt so much.

I then made the decision to go back to the workout as soon as I could. And I did. Been going ever since.

At the beginning I went every day. Now I go 1-3 times a week. Decision is not the point, it’s more the time. I’ve made the decision once. I don’t have to do it every time now. It frees up time and energy, if you know what I mean.

With this weird and wet summer we’ve been having, when I don’t have another appointment, and the sun is shining I have to go to my garden.

Especially now. We changed into winter time (normal time) and around 4.20 pm today it started to get cold. Quickly I packed up, changed clothing and went back home. Brrrr….

I don’t remember as clearly the decision for the Tuesday Entrepreneuer Meetup though. I just need to be around other entrepreneurs once in a while, and once a week has worked out so far for me 🙂

Even though they all are in totally different fields. I think when I mention or even talk about internet marketing, blogging, social media most probably they don’t understand half of what I’m saying but too polite to say something.

No, I’m kidding. We’ve had some really awesome discussions about social media and Facebook the other week.

Once in a while I say this: you should be blogging. If not every day but at least 1-2 a week.

Quit a while ago I realized that this crowd (and it changes all the time, new folks are coming, checking the group out, some come back and some won’t) is not my target market. They are not interested in earning money online, in passive income (another term they don’t really grasp yet), in marketing online.

In fact, the other week, after the bigger discussion and the group broke up into smaller groups a guy from the other side of the group came over to me and asked me, what is passive income?

What Is Passive Income?

passive incomeShort answer: You do something right once and get paid over and over again.

For instance, you write a book and every time it gets sold you get a little bit of money. It took some effort to write the book, now it needs some marketing so people learn about it, take a look and hopefully buy.

What if there is no book inside of you, or a great song… how about helping somebody else who has created a product and promote it for them, in exchange you get a commission. That’s not passive yet. But you get the idea.

Now, imagine you have somebody who has created a product, put it into a system that does most of the selling, adds a monthly product-payment to it et voila! Here you have passive income. And you don’t even have to create a product, you don’t have to write a book.

Just drive traffic to the video.

What’s Your Target market?

Anyway. This crowd is not my target market.

They have other goals than financial freedom, time freedom, being able to “work” where ever they want. Sometimes I think even though they (and not only this crowd, others I talk to on Facebook or Skype) have their own business, are self-employed, call themselves entrepreneurs, some of them still have the mindset of an employee/slave.

Know what I mean?

And I also realized that not everybody, neither in that meetup group, nor on facebook, nor on Skype, not everybody is my target market. Maybe not even you who is reading this article.

Not everybody wants financial freedom is ready to work for it.

Not everybody wants time freedom is ready to work for it.

Not everybody puts in the time (and money) to learn how to do it.

Some people are still in their employee mindset. Have to be told what to do. And expect to get paid every month just for showing up. I guess that’s ok. For them. Not for me.

Ok, I think I’m done ranting lol

My cat wants to get fed.

It’s dark out. Soon I get fed, too 🙂

I hope you enjoyed my little description about my favorite Meetup group. I didn’t plan to go off like this, but then I figured, what the heck, right? 🙂

Send me a message on Facebook and if we are not friends yet, send a friend request along. Let me know what kind of Meetup group you belong to, or will join. Maybe you didn’t even know about this website before. it is. Have fun!

Worst Month Ever!
Apr 11th, 2014 by Xarah

I’m grateful that March is over. It was the worst month I have ever experience.

I was close to a nervous break down several times. I don’t know what prevented it to happen. Maybe all lthe personal development I’ve emerged
myself in lately? Anyway, here’s the short video, and why at the same time it was also a good month:

This is my vehicle that provide me that unexpected income

Put in your best email address, and watch the video. Then click on the join button and start your own “surprise” income business 🙂

Word of mouth Ok, so it’s not that easy LOL after joining you still have to “tell” others. or actual marketing. You will learn that inside the
membership site which is only $25/month. No brainer, right?

Anyway, here’s the direct link to join. It’s easy to cancel if you don’t like it. That’s what I thought. After all, it’s only 25 bucks. I have paid more on
other stuff, and certainly wasted more in March due to that stupid decision and the snake tail that followed that. Good thing though I have this
in place, eh?

To your success.

Feb 12th, 2014 by Xarah

Last Friday me and 3 Fearless women over 50 went to the movies. In the afternoon 🙂

We went to see FROZEN.

I can totally recommend it to young and old.

Just the 4 of us where in the movie theater and kind of had a private show. That’s what you get
when you can go to the movies in the afternoon when everybody else is at the office :-))

In the break we chatted about how special Disney movies are. And that’s where the picture above was shot.

Frozen only for kids?

Even if it’s a kid’s movie still grown-ups can get something out of it.

Yes, it could just be entertainment, just a diversion for a couple of hours from sorrows. Or You can really get
something out of it.

For instance, my Facebook friend Katherine Fugate (a writer for the Xena TV show) posted this on her wall:

Is it Disney Blasphemy to see Elsa’s storyline from Frozen as a coming out storyline? Something she is born with,
has to keep hidden, until finally, in adulthood, she let’s it go – breaks free and is proud of who she is?

We found the song “let it go” powerful too. On the way back into the city one of the women said something about fear.
And I told her to let it go, to let her fear go because it freezes your heart. Let it go and let love heal everything
(or something in this sense).

Here are the lyrics to “Let It Go”

The snow glows white on the mountain tonight,
not a footprint to be seen.
A kingdom of isolation and it looks like I’m the queen.
The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside.
Couldn’t keep it in, Heaven knows I tried.
Don’t let them in, don’t let them see.
Be the good girl you always have to be.
Conceal, don’t feel, don’t let them know.
Well, now they know!
Let it go, let it go!
Can’t hold it back anymore.
Let it go, let it go!
Turn away and slam the door.
I don’t care what they’re going to say.
Let the storm rage on.
The cold never bothered me anyway.
It’s funny how some distance,
makes everything seem small.
And the fears that once controlled me,
can’t get to me at all
It’s time to see what I can do,
to test the limits and break through.
No right, no wrong, no rules for me.
I’m free!
Let it go, let it go.
I am one with the wind and sky.
Let it go, let it go.
You’ll never see me cry.
Here I stand, and here I’ll stay.
Let the storm rage on.
My power flurries through the air into the ground.
My soul is spiraling in frozen fractals all around
And one thought crystallizes like an icy blast
I’m never going back; the past is in the past!
Let it go, let it go.
And I’ll rise like the break of dawn.
Let it go, let it go
That perfect girl is gone
Here I stand, in the light of day.
Let the storm rage on!
The cold never bothered me anyway.

Yes, I think it could be a coming-out story/song.

The co-songwriter Kristen Anderson-Lopez said: “Who doesn’t have some kind of shame or secret that holds them back?”
Point is, just about anyone can relate in some way.

Our foursome of fearless women over 50 😉 decided every new member has to watch this movie because we started to
adapt some frozen language.

Oh, and Olaf! What a wonderful comic element. He’s just lovely!

Go watch it and if you can in 3D! I’ll certainly get the DVD when it’s available.

If you have seen it, would you like to share what you got out of the movie or how you liked it?

Let it go!

Happy New Year 2014
Jan 2nd, 2014 by Xarah

Happy New Year 2014

While my slide over from 2013 to 2014 was not that much fun I am pretty pumped right now since I feel much better then the last 2-3 days.

My girlfriend had had a stomach bug which resulted in her poop to be like water. It was alright on Monday 30th and because we both didn’t feel like cooking we decided to go to the local self-serve restaurant.

Her “bug” returned. I was fine.

But then since she certainly didn’t feel like cooking and not being able to eat anything, I just heated up some left over Spaghetthi and some vegetable sauce.

My stomache was growly that night. And my stool was very soft the next day, not as watery but still not normal.

Either I picked up a different kind of bug or the Spaghetti or the sauce was not alright anymore.

Which meant for both of us, living on Zwieback, bananas and Coke and water.

Not the planed Raclette.

Good thing this year we didn’t plan on a party with guests.

Leaving the crap in the past

The way I see it, 2013 is in the past and I left a lot of crap there. Ready for new stuff. Ready to clean out my office to make space (or for easier moving to a new place). Ready to learn new stuff.

For instance, today I learned how to upload a video from my new iPhone 5S to Youtube.

Here it is:

This is what I want for 2014:

Learn more about NLP

Help 100 people to start blogging and earning money doing so

Help 100 people to learn about dropshipping and how to earn money doing so. Ah, yes, I will write about dropshipping later. So keep an eye on my blog.

Of course there is more that I want, wish and hope for. But I’m running out of time. I want to take the laundry out of the machine and hang them up before we catch the train to meet some friends for lunch (going easy remembering the bug) and probably going to the movies.

What I want for you in 2014:

I want you to be able to persue your dreams.

I want you to have dreams.

I want you to have hope.

All the best to you and your loved ones!

What do you want?
Mar 17th, 2013 by Xarah

What Do you want?

Ask this question next time you get the chance.

“What do you want?”

You probably will first hear what  people don’t want.

  • not have somebody tell you when to go to the bathroom
  • not have the boss tell you when you can have vacation
  • not have to go to work every day
  • and so on

It’s so difficult to say what you want.

  1. I want to make sure that my mom is taken care off, financially and she does not have to worry about her savings.
  2. I want to go visit the USA every 3 months and order healthy chocolate to the hotel
  3. I want to sleep in if I want to… wait, I already do that *chuckle*
  4. I want to get a massage for my neck and shoulders once a week
  5. I want to find an apartment for my godchild so he can move out of the broom closet
  6. I want to give my partner the choice to find a job or a hobby
  7. I want to work on my Xena Fanfictions again
  8. I want to take out my friends, dinner, movie and pick up the tab any time
  9. Oh, and I want to move to my dream apartment

It’s over – Olympics 2012
Aug 17th, 2012 by Xarah

No offense meant with this blog post. More rambling on about the Olympics and stuff…

The Olympics 2012 are over! *phew*

The 10 or so days with non-stop sport on television and sweaty athletes are over. I personally am glad.

I had watched part of the opening-ceremony which had led me to write a blog post:

Olympic Moment

Because of my girl-friend – she loves to watch sports – I also watched some of the sporty events.

Often though I either got on my balcony to enjoy the warmth and a good book or watch a video from the Empower Training, or I’d go to my outer-office (also known as garden) to read some fanfiction, a good book and pluck some weeds and harvest beans and cucumbers and berries. Or I’d go for a walk with an audio from the Inner Circle in my ears.

Watching sports – Olympics or no Olympics – on Television bores me after 15 minutes or so

Anyway. I got sucked in to watching the ending ceremony.

You did great, Britain 😉

kitesurf new sport olympics 2016 in Rio de Janiero Brazil

A kitesurfer at Rishon LeZion, Israel

I also liked how Brazil / Rio de Janeiro presented themselves for the Olympics 2016.

I’m inclinded to go to the next Olypmics. I told my girl-friend when I saw they were having Kitesurfing that if we’d go I’d want to go see Kitesurfing at the Olympics 2016.

That looks like a lot of fun.

Olympics 2012 are history

I went to go through the night preperations (feed the cats, do the dishes, brush teeth…) just before The Who came on because the channel we watched it on turned the channel off. I hear it went on for another while. But I had enough.

Did you watch the Olympics? How did you like it? What kind of sports are you into?

Cashflow Game April 12
Apr 13th, 2012 by Xarah

I play Cashflow – do you?

But first I tell you about my day

Yesterday was a full pump day

I got up early. Jumped a half an hour on the Trampoline and listened to an audio with Dave Wood and Mark Call. Had a shower. Fed the cats.

And then to my office. It took me from the kitchen to my office about… 10 seconds…

I had some work to do for my day job, did some Facebook and other kind of marketing, generating leads.

In the afternoon I went to the gym and listened to an audio with Dave Wood and Justin. When I’m alone at the gym I unplug the music stick because I rather work out at my pace instead of the one from the music and I got into sweating. It’s like I forget where I am, just listen. Think. And work out.

Still pumped

Got home and usually I’m tired when I reach the 5th floor and collapse on the bed, not this time. Still pumped, could be from me drinking Xe energy drink during the work out.

Anyway, back to do some house hold (starting a machine of laundry) and again 10 seconds to walk to my office.

Why am I not getting tired?

A couple of hours later I left the house again to go a Cashflow game. Even though it’s Thursday and usually my choir day but once a month I take the time off now and do some education 😉 BTW you can play the Cashflow game online, too.

Everybody else is tired

The train was full, almost every seat was taken and a lot of people standing. And I thought, boy am I glad I don’t have to do that every day!

Finally, playing the Cashflow Game

What happened during the game

cashflow gameThe very first card I drew was to buy shares for $1.- and because I was a manager with a nice pay day – and big expenses… expensive kids, too … I bought 1’500 shares from my cash.

Guess what, those shares showed up once for only $10 and I figured, hm, those shares might just go up a bit more and didn’t sell. And they didn’t go up again LOL

Other shares showed up, once we had 3 cards in a row, the same shares! First $20 then $30 and then $50! Of course we all said: don’t buy for $20! So she didn’t and was about to bite into the table because those shares went up and up and up.

Like in real life LOL

Anyway, I soon got the opportunity to buy a 2 bed room house for $0 down but with a negative cashflow of $100. I figured I could fix it up, like this 14 year old did, and eventually sell it for a nice profit.

A little while later I bought another one of those for $3’000 down and a positive cashflow of $100.

Equals now $0 passive income 🙂

I knew – and hoped – eventually the market would pick up and sure enough I was able to sell both for $100’000. Though I had to be rather patient.

All in all a pay out of $103’000. Not bad, hu?

Keep your eyes open

All I needed now is to keep my eyes open for a lucrative opportunity and jump on it.

By then I had a passive income of $0 (still or again) and total expenses of $3’170. Pretty high and almost impossible to get out of.

Next opportunity for a deal I took a big deal. And big it was.

The big deal was a appartment house with 24 units. I had to put $75’000 down – which I had on hand. And it got me a passive income of $3’400.

Can you do the math?

I instantly saw I left the rat race!

I got lucky. It could have been a deal than only brought in $300 or $800. And I would have need a handful of those deals. But yes, sometimes luck plays a role.

But because I invested and “paid” every month for along time until the second deal showed up a $100 every month. But I was ready to invest. Which I know a lot of people aren’t. Not only in real life, also in the game. And then I had enough cash on hand to be able to realize my jump out of the rat race.

Be at the right place at the right time – and realize it. You know, when lucks knocks at your door, be at home and open it!

Infinitetly rich

If you have more passive income (which does not contain your income from your job) than expenses, you are infintely rich. Can you see that? This is not only true in the game, it’s true in real life. Have you figured out what your monthly expenses are?

Now you know, how big your monthly passive income has to be.

Of course, a sensible person would increase their passive income first before increasing their expenses 🙂

Leaving the rat race in the Cashflow game

Anyway, I left the rat race, went onto the fast track. Bought a gold mine which turned out to be empty after all. Didn’t have money to go into the oil deal but bought a couple of businesses.

Then I had the chance to get into a TV commercial deal which I took and it was so successful that I added $50’000 extra cashflow – which is part of the goal.

Either add an extra $50’000 to your cashflow or buy your dream.

We let the others keep on playing for the practise.

Just before we had to stop the game because of the time and the restaurant closing, the lady with those shares that kept going up, was able to leave the rat race because I saw she had a bank credit that she could partiatly pay back and that made her expenses go down and that made her passive income higher than her expenses. Not by much but by enough 🙂

I think that alone made her learn a lot. It was like an eye opener.

The other guy had the money to buy something and all he needed was an extra $41 passive income but I looked into the magic glas ball and saw the next 3-4 cards were only shares and none of them he had. No passive income for him.

I moved the magic ball around a bit, shook it and woohoo a deal that would have gotten him out came up.

We had a lot of fun!

What I have learned and wittnessed so far is that often people with high paying jobs hardly ever get out of the rat race but the people with the low paying jobs usually leave the rat race even though at the beginning they think they have no chance…. I got out this time with a high paying job.

So, it is possible. No matter where you are at.

You need luck and be open to see opportunities.

I was asked how long I’ve been playing – a year or so. And has anything changed for me.

Yes, I would say so.

I’m still on the left side of the equation, but I have a toe on the right side.

Neither open nor ready

One year ago if I would have been introduced to Empower Network I would not have been open. For one thing I’d still be very focused and hopeful for my chocolate business.

And for another thing I would not have been ready to invest that kind of money into learning about internet marketing. I was still into free and cheap stuff – though obviously they didn’t help me at all.

And I was not open to invest in myself, in my self-development.

Last November I was. Open. Willing.

I saw a big deal, a chance and went all in.

I still have a (small) negative cashflow but comparing to what I’ve invested before and got out (nothing), at least I broke even with Empower Network. From now on all profit 🙂

But more importantly. I know everybody getting into this deal. Everybody being open to invest in themselves. Will succeed. It may take 90 days. It may take a year. But during that time, everybody – who wants – can learn so much. Nobody can take those skills away.

Can you learn from the Cashflow game?

In my opinion: yes! Maybe here in Switzerland you need more than $5’000 down to buy a house. Maybe to invest in shares you need a lot more knowledge. But the important thing is to see a deal. To see the potential. Of the deal. And of yourself.

Do you see the potential yet in yourself? Then come join this fast growing team of empowering networkers.
