Key Forum Zurich
Aug 19th, 2010 by Xarah

A couple of weeks ago I made this website for a friend and because they just started this forum for events in Zurich and I said I would do it for free if I get to add my link and a little ad.

It was a lot of fun and I put into it all kinds of things and plugins I had been learning about in a Blog Support room in Skype (ask me if you want to join).

I hope it will be a great success for them. And anything I newly earn I will add. For instance is this website viewable on a mobile phone. Cool, hu?

For it was not only a learning experience but I get into touch with a different kind of people. They are sophisticated, eager to learn, praise me and my work every time we talk. And I get to go to the first event for free. All those events are so interesting that I’ll gladly pay, but hey, I won’t look into the mouth of the horse … :-)

Anyway, I expect to be meeting more sophisticated people and who knows who else wants a website, hu? Or wants the healthy chocolate

I wonder if I need to upgrade my wardrobe though? What do sophisticated people wear at such events? NOOOO Skirts for me!! Don’t you even suggest that!

Drinking Water
Aug 5th, 2010 by Xarah

blackboardsheetsI was listening to call called “Get lean with Kerry Dean”. That’s a call by Kerry with guests about the new product from Xocai: X Protein Meal Shake. Anyway.

One of the guests mentioned that even though she’s not eating the advised 1200 calories she’s not hungry. In this program they all are “forced” to drink lots of water.

My theory is: people with a weight problem often mistake thirst for hunger and eat. Since they have to drink a lot in this program, they do not get that feeling of what they had been assuming to be hungry because they are not thirsty. Makes sense?

dezilitter

Even though I cannot be on the program I did buy some protein shake, I write down what I drink when I drank it and I bought a step-o-meter. I have to admit I often don’t reach the 10′000 steps. But usually drink at least 3 liters of plain water without bubbles.

Like yesterday. I was listening to a couple of the recorded calls on my little iPod and went up to the little forestlet. There was a nice bench and I sat down. Then I remembered that I needed 10′000 steps and walked around those woods and discovered several small paths that I had not seen before. Of course I walked them 2 or 3 times until the call was over. That forest is really small.

Still, I didn’t make the 10′000 steps but a lot more than I would have without the step-o-meter or my goal to get to 10′000 steps.

Do you want to lose 5-10 pounds? Get back to me!

Red Currents and my Garden
Jun 28th, 2010 by Xarah

red currentI was in Brienz, visiting a skype friend for a couple of days. No, she does not live there. She’s American. Once or twice a year she and her husband do wwoofing. Which means they stay at a place, usually a farm and help for about 4 hours per day and for that they get room and food. It’s a great way to see other countries and to meet new people.

I spent this morning in the garden and after lunch got back home, needed to do some grocery shopping and baking a cake using the red currents from my garden.

That said friend is going home on Wednesday and will spend a night Tuesday-Wednesday at my place because their plane is leaving early. Maybe they’ll wwoof in my garden - for that I’ll feed them LOL - maybe some red current cake.

I really need help with the weeds and all. Going back to the garden soon.

I think I’m gonna spend most of my time this week there, I can work on the weekends because then other people who also have a garden there will be coming and it tends to be noisy.

red currentAnyway, gotta get back to what I had been doing until I remembered it was Monday. And I had to open the Introduction Skype room.

I just added this little post because another Skype friend asked me about red currents. Don’t know it it’s the correct name.

We call them “Trübeli”.

Have a great day!

Chocolate Tasting II
Jun 2nd, 2010 by Xarah

choc-biteThis time it was a lot better which was to expect. I went over the video to analyze myself and the reactions because your mind can play tricks on you. One of the guests had left later than I would have thought. And I went over my notes, listened to the audio of Kerry Dean’s Chocolate Tastings again. And practised my notes several times.

I also added a louder voice over track to the video and was able to cut and move the audio tracks so they matched the images better. It’s almost perfect now :-)

The first person who had signed into the attendance sheet did not show up, in fact she crossed her self out. Good thing two others had signed in, one with a guest. As I arrived someone left and I talked to her and she was really tempted to come but I guess thought about it differently.

So, I had 4 guests. And at the end 2 of them bought a 14-day trial bag. I bought orange ones because the Viva Center is held in Orange.

dance1My first income with Xocai Healthy Chocolate!

Next week I’m going to target the other Viva Centers because I have a gift to bring them: an extra income source and healthy chocolate. Today though I’m going to concentrate on things that I have neglected lately:

  • Mail (scattered on the floor)
  • Cutting a video from the courtyard singing, uploading and adding to our homepage
  • And while that is rendering I have some fanfiction to upload and add some of them to the Weekly Chakram. Been lucky, there had been some really good ones among them lately
  • And I have to open the WINning Sisters Skype room at 6.30, at 7.30 the German Xocai Webinar, at 9 an important Xocai call with my upline Paula Pritchard

Have a sweet day!

My First Chocolate Tasting
May 31st, 2010 by Xarah

choc-biteHad my first chocolate tasting on Wednesday at 1 am. It was great, thrilling and disappointing.

It was great, because everybody showed up and listened. It was great because they asked questions.

It was thrilling because this was the first chocolate tasting in Switzerland as far as I know.

And it was disappointing because nobody jumped on board. They all wanted to buy chocolate which I thought i was not allowed. And I was not even able to finish the presentation acording to my notes. Good thing I recorded it all on video so I could go back and analyse it all.

I learned that evening that I can sell chocolates I’m just not allowed to place it in stores which I would want anyways.

I called them all back up and no surprise really, they all declained. Still have not been able to reach one.

Next one is tomorrow at 8 pm. Will be better prepared. The sound of the video is louder and I think better matching. I will have little bags with chocolate to sell. Right now, I’m working on my notes.

Wish me luck!

Crazy New Look
May 10th, 2010 by Xarah

eyesI wanted pink in my hair but my haidresser said pink does not look good on me. Blue was much better and so we agreed on Hyper Purple. It turned out more blue than purple, then again, next to my blue baseball cap it does look more purple.

What do you say? Do you like it?

My appointment was at 10 am and I got out around 12.50 pm which gave me plenty of time to reach the train at 1.11. Time flies today even more. It’s like I’m constantly behind. But that’s ok, I don’t have a lot of plans today other than this post and maybe work on my videos, one for my mom and some more from my USA trip.

Looking forward to your opinion!

Cat Attack
Feb 28th, 2010 by Xarah

I’m trying to work on my videos. First I have to open them in the “browser” that came with the camera. There I have to convert into WMV. When I’ve done all of the clips I will import them into Movie Maker. Yes, Movie Maker. That browser only works on PC. I had to get my girl friend’s laptop because mine doesn’t have a cd drive.

Anyway. My cat keeps jumping up on my desk, circles behind the screen of my iMac, squeezes between that screen and the old PC screen and steps onto the laptop. I think she just deleted a file OH NOOO!

Even though I took her down she went right back up there. We did that 3 times. Now I closed the lid. Must be yummy energy coming of the laptop.
This is just to let you know that it might take a bit longer for those videos to be produced.

The Day Before
Feb 2nd, 2010 by Xarah

Gods, I’m nervous. Tomorrow goes my flight to the States. It’s been ages since my last flight and I heard stories about the new security measures.

My friend Sue suggested to make a list and together the list got bigger and bigger but it helped calm my nerves – a little.

budget-notebook1Remembering to pack all the adapters and cables for the cell phone, the notebook I had just bought and the new camera I got for my birthday.

So, on one had I have to try to remember to get everything I need because this is not just gonna be a little vacation trip, it’s gonna be a business trip. And on the other hand I have to learn how the new camera works, how I can move the pictures and films onto the computer in case I run out of space and I have to learn how this new notebook works because it runs on Windows 7. Good thing I’m flexible and used to switch between Mac and PC.

I have to be 3 hours before departure at the airport! My suspicion is: so you have plenty of time to go shopping. I know you have to go through security and get screened and all but still three hours is a looot.
What else, yes, passwords. And which programs do I want or need? And clothes. Is it going to be warm? I mean I’m going to Southern California and it never rains in Southern California. Or Arizona. Or Florida. I have been observing the weather forecasts for these three areas on this cute widgets that are on my iMac and it does not look good. It’s starting to look better and warmer but I think I’m gonna pack a long sleave shirt and I am gonna bring a sweater. I always feel cold in airplanes. Gloves? Nah.

Well, I better finish the packing now.

Going to America
Jan 17th, 2010 by Xarah

Xena, Gabrielle and ArgoOn February 3rd I’m going to catch a plane and fly over to LA. I should arrive in the  later afternoon. Don’t know if I’m bushed and go to bed early or have enough energy to roam around the hotel.

I’m still waiting for the Universe to deliver a room mate at the convention hotel. It’ll be easier and definitely more fun. Beside I want to order some of the chocolate and cookies and carrying them back and forth would be a drag.

Anyway, I hope to meet lots of new friends. I already know several of my Weekly Chakram subscribers will be there. We just have to find a way to meet and recognize each other :-) Maybe I just give everybody my business card then they should recognize me by my name LOL Last time in London someone did and was in awe like I was a celebrity. That felt nice though.

So, three days full with Xena, Xenites, lovely gals … that’s going to be so great! No Lucy concert though and she’s only there for one day. But I hope I can give her and Renée,  Hudson, Steven and Sharon their presents.

And guess what they are gonna get? Yes! Healthy chocolate. I am going to order some of the products that we here in Europe don’t have yet. The cookies and the protein bars and of course Xe the healthy energy drink.

They said on the website where the info about the con is that they do accept gifts but not during the photo ops because of security reasons (hu?) and that they cannot take the gifts with them because most of them will fly back. Good thing my gifts are edible LOL

xe-drinkOn Monday I’m flying to  Phoenix Arizona where I - hopefully - can stay with a friend. She’s a former teacher of mine. I’m looking forward to spending a week with her and her kids. Of course since this part of the trip is business I’m going to talk to people about Xe and Xoçai and invite them to the launch.

And in case I’m running around all week I want to reserve Sunday for my friend and Phoenix because on Monday I will fly to Orlando Florida. Don’t have a place to stay yet but I’m sure there are Xenites from Orlando at the Con or Xenites who couldn’t make it. I bet they want to see the photos and movies I’m making with my new pre-birthday present. And I’ll bring chocolate

The weekend after the launch in Phoenix there is another launch in Orlando and I wanna be at both. Inviting everybody to come and experience it.

Never been to a launch but I think it’s gonna be fab.

Oh, lunch is ready. I hope I can update my blog on the trip. I have my eye on an inexpensive, small and very light notebook. Should I go for it?
